- The ESG rating system is an integral part of the investee screening process, portfolio composition and rebalancing
- Potential investees are screened against the GDD EBCGF’s ESG Exclusion List and then assessed for rating by the GDDA Research Team
- ESG screening are performed at the earliest stages of the GDD EBCGF’s Investment Approach and are continually monitored and reassessed as part of its portfolio optimization process

Screening: ESG Exclusion List
Screens out companies/groups with adverse environmental & social footprints, e.g., excessive/toxic polluters, child labour, terrorism, gambling, tobacco and liquor, regulatory/legal issues etc.

Research assessment

CRO reviews Research ESG Screening and provides comments, if any, to the Investment Committee

Investment Committee approves investments and allocation within the EBCGF portfolio

Research and Investment Management Team continually monitor investee ESG status and ESG related events

Investment Management Team will propose changes to ESG screening (positive/negative) to the Investment Committee for decision and possible EBCGF portfolio rebalancing
